1. Which word do you use to express feelings?

: We know the verb estar is used to say where someone or something is located as well as to describe personality.
: Estar is also used with adjectives to describes how someone feels.

REMEMBER that adjectives must agree with the gender/number of the noun they are describing.

Example:
: Diana está preocupada por Ignacio.
: Ignacio está preocupado por Diana
[Diana/Ignacio is worried about Ignacio/Diana.]

3. What are some basic feelings?

This girl in pink pigtails is my original character, Zoey.
Here are some of her plentiful emotions, with captions beneath the images.

[If I were to say "Zoey is angry", my sentence would be "Zoey está enojada".
Enojada would end with an a because Zoey is female/feminine.
Enojado would end with an o if the noun that is being described is male/masculine.]

5. Three Costa Questions
(Or, a simple summary for you.)

1. How is the verb "estar" used?
Estar is used to say where someone or something is located, to describe personality, and to describe feelings.
It must be conjugated to fit the sentence it is being used in, otherwise it will be used incorrectly.

2. What is the rule with the word "cuando"?
Cuando, without an accent over the a, means "when", such as "cuando tengo mucho trabajo", meaning "when I have a lot of work".
Cuándo, with an accent over the a, means "when" - but as a question word, such as "¿Cuándo es...?", meaning "When is...?".

3. How do you say how someone is feeling?
[person/noun] estar [feeling]. ((Do not forget to conjugate the estar.))
: estás triste.
: You are sad.
[More examples? See section 4. A Typical Reaction for details.]
